Ås fortsatt på topp

Torsdag kveld var det klart for andre runde av Kenguru Cup. Denne gang skulle Ås som stakk av med to seire i første runde være vertskap for kampene, og de skulle vise seg å være sterke også denne gang.

Første kamp ut var Ås mot Oslo East. Det var en jevn start, men vertene fra Ås ledet med to mål til pause. Oslo East prøvde å komme inn i kampen igjen i andre omgang, men Ås holdt godt unna og vant med 3.16.34 mot 2.6.18. Kun dårlige avslutninger sørget for at seiersmarginen ikke ble større.

Andre kamp var det Oslo East som skulle møte Oslo West. Det ble en jevn kamp, men østkantlaget ledet med to mål til pause. I andre omgang kom Oslo West mer med og kom opp i ryggen til gutta fra øst. Oslo East tok seg derimot mer sammen og klarte til slutt å vinne kampen med 8.2.50 mot 6.2.38.

I den siste kampen for kvelden skulle Ås møte Oslo West. Her tok Oslo-laget tidlig ledelsen og til pause ledet de med to mål. I andre omgang kom derimot Ås kraftig tilbake og vant soleklart med 6.10.46 mot 4.3.27 mot et tamt Oslo-lag.

Dermed har Oslo West til gode å vinne i år, mens Ås har stukket av med seieren i alle sine kamper og leder serien soleklart etter fire kamper.

Ås still on top

Thursday night it we were ready for the second round of the Kangaroo Cup. This time it was Ås, who won the first two games to host the games, and they proved to be strong also this time.

First game out was Ås against Oslo East. There was a steady start, but the hosts from Ås led by two goals at half time. Oslo East tried to get into the game again in the second half, but Ås kept well away and won with 3.16.34 to 06.02.18. Only poor finishing ensured that the victory margin was not greater.

Second match, Oslo East were playing against Oslo West. It was a close game, but the Eastside led by two goals at half time. In the second half Oslo West came back and were only a couple of points behind. Oslo East got more together and managed to win the game by 8.2.50 to 6.2.38.

In the last and final game for the evening, the hosts from Ås played against Oslo West. The Oslo team took an early lead and at half time they led by two goals. However, in the second half, Ås came strong and won obvious with 6.10.46 to 3.4.27 against a tame Oslo team.

Thus, the Oslo West yet to win this year, while Ås has run away with the victory in all their matches, and leads the series obvious after four matches.
