Victory in Karlstad

Oslo Crows went to Karlstad on Saturday (30th of June) to play the 2nd round in Sweden West League. It ended with another victory for the Norwegians.

It was originally to be played three games between Oslo (and Ås), Karlstad and Gothenburg, but with few players on every team, it went on to be a full game instead.

Only strong winds did so it wasn’t perfect playing conditions, the sun was high in the sky and did what it could to make it a great day for footy.

The Swedes started best and led after the first quarter, but in the second quarter, Oslo came strong and was only behind by two points halfway.

In the third quart Oslo continued with their good game, and the plan worked for the Norwegian boys. Scored three, and didn’t let the Swedes score a single one. This thanks to a solid backline.

In the last quarter the Oslo was gonna defend the lead, but some quick goals by the Swedes did made it a close race. But two goals from Andy (total of 4 goals) at the end of the match, secured another victory for the Oslo Crows. The battle ended with a 4-points victory margin.

With the victory, the Oslo Crows now have two of two possible victories in the Swedish league this year, and are on the top of the league.

An extra thanks to Mimo who played his second game ever. He played well and was almost always where the ball landed.

Also thanks to the rest of the guys who showed up. Also Adam O’Toole who trained the team well from the sidelines.
