East take control of Cup

  Two solid wins in Round 2 of Kenguru Cup have put daylight between Oslo East and the chasing pack. In perfect conditions at Storebrand Stadion, East once again showed its class and composure, running out winners in its two closely fought games. Playing on their home turf for the first time this year, Ås put in a spirited and much improved performance, pushing the Easties to the limit. Ultimately their efforts fell just short, and East walked away with a tight 21-19 win. Oslo's Eastside squad proved it will be the team to beat in Kenguru Cup 2016 after scoring strong wins in a high quality round one under sunny skies at Voldslokka. Playing with a mixture of new and old faces, the East shrugged off an indifferent start against Oslo West in the first game to run out convincing winners 61 to 18. With Danny Aukema and Matthew Trzeciak leading the way, East had winners all over the ground.
